BRITS WHO LIVE IN THE COUNTRYSIDE ARE HAVING MORE SEX THAN THEIR URBAN DWELLING COUNTERPARTS – AND OWN MORE SEX TOYS, ACCORDING TO A NATIONWIDE STUDY
A new, nationwide poll has delved into the sex lives of Britons, and revealed couples living in rural areas are having sex an average of ELEVEN times a month, while City folk are only managing to get it on eight times (on average).
While City living couples also have an average of one sex toy between them, those who live in rural areas have an average of THREE saucy gadgets, hidden away in their drawers and cupboards.
And, reminiscent of the fruity TV drama, Rivals – The Cotswolds, has been crowned the BONK capital of the UK, with those from the posh countryside setting, averaging the most sex per month – a staggering FIFTEEN times.
While 34 percent of City couples are into role play, as many as 41 percent of country dwellers partake in the practice with their significant other – while threesomes (9 percent compared to 12 percent), BDSM (eight percent compared to ten percent) and swinging (5 percent compared to 9 percent) are other practices country folk are more likely to be involved with.
And when it comes to the sex toys which tickle the fancy of countryside Brits, the humble vibrator came top, with 29 percent admitting they own one, and 19 percent saying they use it together with their other half.
Handcuffs (19 percent), penis rings (12 percent), bondage gear (10 percent) and butt plugs (8 percent) are other things many country-residing folk enjoy using with their loved ones.
Jon Horsely, Head of Insights at Perspectus Global, who commissioned the poll comments, “It seems the British countryside is not all about WI meetings, cake bakes and long walks in nature, as our research clearly shows Brits living the rural life, are having more fun between the sheets and finding more exotic ways to spice up their sex lives.
Across the age groups, Gen Z and over 60s emerged as the most likely to describe themselves as “sexually adventurous” (60 percent each), while just 47 percent of millennials said the same.
A resounding 78 percent of all couples felt being sexually aligned was one of the most important factors to staying together as a couple.
While 42 percent would like to be having kinkier sex, and 32 percent wish they were having sex with someone other than their partner.
