Hall Pass Rule: Do You & Your Partner Have An Agreement?

A QUARTER OF BRITISH COUPLES HAVE A “HALL PASS” AGREEMENT – WITH BRAD PITT AND MARGO ROBBIE TOPPING THE LIST OF CELEBS WE’D ALLOW OUR PARTNERS ONE NIGHT WITH

New research reveals one in four of the nation’s couples (25 percent) have an agreement they could have a no-strings-attached, one off fling with a celeb, if they found themselves in the unlikely position of meeting their ULTIMATE crush.

In fact, according to the poll of 2,000 lovers, two thirds (63 percent) openly chat to each other about their celebrity crushes, with one in three (33 percent) admitting it makes them laugh hearing who their other half fancies.

More than half (52 percent) think that joking about your celeb crushes is a sign of a healthy relationship, with two thirds (63 percent) agreeing that couples who laugh together, stay together.

Despite the laughter, women (22 percent) are more likely to be jealous than men (18 percent, compared to nine percent).

Hollywood heartthrob Brad Pitt (nine percent) came top of the hall pass hit list, with silver fox George Clooney (eight percent) coming second, followed by Ryan Reynolds (eight percent) and football legend, David Beckham (six percent).

Newly loved up, Hugh Jackman (five percent) also makes an appearance, along with Idris Elba (five percent), Bradley Cooper (four percent) and chiselled Channing Tatum (four percent).

And when it came to the female celebs we’d like to spend the night with Australian stunner, Margot Robbie (eight percent) came top, followed by Scarlett Johansson (eight percent), Jennifer Lawrence (eight percent) and the future Queen, Kate Middleton (six percent).

The study of 2,000 British couples was commissioned by card company, thortful to launch its new Face Swap feature, where you can add your loved one’s face to a Hollywood star’s body.

Despite the ongoing controversy, Blake Lively (four percent) features in the nation’s hall pass wish list, along with Holly Willoughby (five percent), Halle Berry (five percent) and Rihanna (five percent).

Pip Heywood, Managing Director at thortful, which commissioned the research said: “It’s clear from the research that British couples pride themselves on having a laugh with their partner, and this Valentine’s Day is no exception.

“With our new Face Swap feature, we’re encouraging people to embrace the fun side of romance by transforming their loved ones into the stars of their own card.”

Couples in London (31 percent), Bristol (31 percent) and York (30 percent) are most likely to have an agreement in place, along with those in Birmingham (28 percent), Manchester (27 percent) and Cardiff (27 percent).
