Earlier this year, fast food chain McDonald’s introduced the Grimace Shake to the menu for a limited time only, and it took the UK by storm – to date, there have been over 86.7 million posts on TikTok relating to the viral milkshake.
Foodies were gutted when the well-known fast food chain removed the shake from the menu, however, they’ll be happy to know that the Grimace Shake has returned to the chain’s festive menu this December.

In light of this, well-known kitchen appliance brand, Ninja Kitchen has revealed exactly how avid fans can make the viral blueberry Grimace Shake from the comfort of their own home with the Ninja CREAMi!
How to make the viral Grimace Shake
*Recipe typically serves 1 and takes 5 minutes to make
- Ensure you have all the right ingredients
If you want to recreate the recipe like for like, all you need is 225g of vanilla ice cream, 120g of milk and 70g of fresh blueberries.
- Place ingredients into a CREAMi pint
Place ice cream in an empty CREAMi Pint and then use a spoon to create a 1 ½-inch wide hole that reaches the bottom of the pint. Add the remaining ingredients to the hole.
- Use the milkshake setting
Place the pint in the outer bowl, install the Creamerizer Paddle onto the outer bowl lid and lock the lid assembly on the outer bowl. Place the bowl assembly on the motor base and twist the handle right to raise the platform and lock it in place. Then select the MILKSHAKE setting.
When complete, remove the milkshake from the pint, serve immediately and enjoy!
MAKE IT DAIRY-FREE: Substitute vegan vanilla ice cream for vanilla ice cream and unsweetened oat milk for milk.
