Fremantle Bar & Kitchen launches in Docklands 

Exciting East London restaurant news! Fremantle Bar & Kitchen will launch at Royal Victoria Dock on 13^th May. A brand-new offer for the area, Fremantle will be the go-to choice whether you’re an E16 resident or regular, you’re heading to Excel, or on the way for a trip on the Cable Car! 

Once the epicentre for trading in food (grains and spices primarily), Fremantle Bar & Kitchen has been inspired by the history of the docks that surround it and draws on the influences from one of its longstanding trading partners, Australia. Looking to Australasia as a dining destination that riffs on culinary combinations from the Mediterranean, Middle East, Asia and South America, Fremantle Bar & Kitchen will excite with adventure and innovation through its all-day food and drink menus that will be big on flavour, colour, and contrasts, with high nutritional and health elements, too. 

With a warm, ‘neighbourhood’ welcome at the expansive bar, or table in the open-plan restaurant, Fremantle will introduce a completely new laid-back drinking and dining experience to Docklands, that’s perfect for all occasions from weekend brunch and after work drinks, to weeknight dinners and team meetings. Interiors are modern and casual, with plenty of natural light, and greenery. 

From breakfast through to dinner, the menus will include dishes such as: 

Breakfast / brunch (served until 3pm) 

–        E16 Shakshuka 

–        Blueberry power bowl 

–        Courgette fritters with poached eggs 

–        Treacle cured bacon butty 

–        Salted caramel French Toast 

Snacks / lunch / dinner (served from midday) 

–        Jalapeño cornbread, chipotle butter 

–        Squash tempura, labneh, fermented chilli and honey 

–        Crispy pork belly, apple caramel 

–        Ham, egg, and chips sub 

–        Miso and sesame chicken sando 

–        Cold brew tiramisu 

–        Hot jam doughnut, honeycomb crumble 

Central to the new restaurant, will be the Fremantle Bar. The  team has curated an international wine list, but there will also be some heavy nods to East London, and collaborations with East London Liquor Co. and the East London Brewery, too. 

Fremantle Bar & Kitchen is located at Royal Victoria Dock, Western Gateway, E16 1AL (part of Crowne Plaza London Docklands) and will be open 7 days a week from 7am – 11pm. There will also be a private dining space and beautiful year-round terrace. 

Prior to the official opening on 13^th May, Fremantle Bar & Kitchen will hold a soft launch from 7^th – 12^th May, where all diners will receive 50% off food and a welcome drink. Bookings for the soft launch period are open now and can be made here.
