Dark Skies Await: Britain’s Stargazing Road Trip 2025 with roadsurfer

17th – 18th November: Leonid Meteor Shower, Galloway Forest Park

Scotland’s first Dark Sky Park is an ideal setting for the Leonids. Travellers can stay ay Glentrool Camping Site or make the most of permitted wild camping.

13th – 14th December: Geminid Meteor Shower, Brecon Beacons

The Geminids are considered the most spectacular shower of the year. Ynysfaen Camping near Sennybridge provides a prime viewing point in the heart of Brecon Beacons.

31st December: New Year’s Eve Supermoon, South Downs

Travellers can ring in 2026 under a glowing lunar sky in the South Downs National Park, with The Sustainability Centre near Petersfield offering an eco-conscious overnight option.
