CELEBRATE NATIONAL TEQUILA DAY WITH A TASTING EXPERIENCE LIKE NO OTHER
Battersea Power Station’s unique glass elevator experience, Lift 109, will celebrate National Tequila Day 2024 (24th July) with a tequila tasting experience like no other.

Battersea Power Station’s Lift 109 will celebrate National Tequila Day 2024 (Wednesday 24th July) with a series of tequila tasting experiences hosted 109 metres up at the top of the London landmark’s north west chimney. ‘Sky High Tequila Tasting’ is the latest addition to the ‘Lift 109 Lates’ series of after-hours events hosted at the chimney lift experience.
Taking place on Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th July, Sky High Tequila Tastings will include access to Lift 109’s multimedia exhibition which charts Battersea Power Station’s rich architectural and cultural heritage. Visitors will then make the thrilling ascent of the Grade II* listed building’s north-west chimney where at the top, drinks expert and educator Jane Peyton will guide them through the history and craftsmanship of the tequila making process as they sample a range of four types of the agave drink, all while taking in the spectacular 360-degree views of the London skyline.
Tequilas which will be sampled include the exquisitely hand-crafted Ojo de Tigre Reposado, multi award-winning VIVIR Tequila Añejo, the complex Rooster Rojo Reposado with Smoked Pineapple and savoury yet delicate El Tequileño Platinum.
Jane Peyton, alcoholic drinks expert and founder of School of Booze leading the Sky High Tequila Tasting events, said: “Commemorating the drink’s history and production process, National Tequila Day is celebrated on 24th July every year. What better place to make the most of this unique day than at Lift 109. I’ve had the privilege of hosting tasting events in some memorable venues but enlightening guests about this extraordinary spirit at the top of one of Battersea Power Station’s iconic chimneys will be a highlight that will be hard to top.”

Tickets: £60 per person includes the Lift 109 experience and a carefully curated range of four
tequila tastings. Tickets are limited, so early bookings are encouraged to avoid disappointment.
