Legendary New England shoemaker, Sebago, unveils its debut LFW collaboration with Central Saint Martin’s & Royal College of Art alumni and renowned designer, Saul Nash.
Debuted at Nash’s ‘AW24 Dress Codes’ catwalk show during London Fashion Week, Sebago’s iconic ‘Classic Dan’ loafers are reimagined with a contrasting Vibram sole for a sporty, avant-garde aesthetic, fusing both Sebago’s and Nash’s design DNA. Inspired by club culture and dress code policies of the early noughties London nightlife scene, the ‘Classic Dan’ styles reflect the perfect juxtaposition between formal and casual. The ‘Dress Codes’ collection references Nash’s memories of clubgoers dressing up streetwear with smarter apparel to meet requirements of the club’s they wished to enter, blurring the line between sporty and smart.

Exploring these differences and synergies, the Sebago X Saul Nash loafers are showcased in two exclusive styles. The Classic Dan Club Loafer and the Classic Dan Wrapped
Hybrid Loafer. Utilising Vibram StratX technology across the upper to create a molded rubber silhouette, the Dan Wrapped Hybrid Loafer pairs this unique style with Vibram soles, corrected grain leather, and a leather sock lining to create a limited-edition silhouette.
Whilst the Classic Dan Club Loafer combines Sebago’s iconic ‘Classic Dan’ upper in corrected grain leather alongside Vibram soles for a paired back, sporty feel. The Sebago x Saul Nash styles will be available to purchase from saulnash.co.uk and sebago.co.uk from June 2024 with prices ranging £260-£295 – further stockists to be announced.

About Sebago
Founded in 1946, the Sebago Company was started by three New England natives and friends: Daniel J. Wellehan Sr., William Beaudoin, and Joseph Cordeau. The first shoe they released was a hand-sewn penny loafer. Sebago’s penny loafer was inspired by the popular Indian moccasin and featured the company’s patented welt construction. With a firm foundation in quality and style, the Sebago Company started to expand quickly. In 1970, Sebago released their most recognizable model to date, the iconic ‘Dockside’ boat shoe. Known for their handsewn genuine mock construction, slip-resistant rubber sole, and non-corrosive brass eyelets.
