Guernsey Literary Festival has announced its 2024 line-up, with star speakers to include Louise Minchin, Bryony Gordon, Michel Roux Jr and Louis de Bernières
The Guernsey Literary Festival has announced this year’s line-up. From novelist Louis de Bernières to chef Michel Roux Jr, this year’s festival is set to be one of Guernsey’s biggest yet. Taking place between 23 April and 5 May 2024, the festival will be held amongst the quirky surrounds of Guernsey’s historic capital, St Peter Port. Following the release of Michel Roux at Home, the celebrated chef will delight the crowds with descriptions of how to recreate delicious French meals from the comfort of their own kitchen. Journalist and campaigner Bryony Gordon has been inspiring readers and listeners from across the globe to open up about mental health. Visitors to the festival in 2024 will have the chance to listen to Bryony discussing her brand-new book, Mad Woman: How to Survive a World That Thinks You’re the Problem.
Other notable events will include presenter Louise Minchin discussing her book Fearless – Adventures with Extraordinary Woman, spotlighting Louise’s own adventures profiling female stories of courage and endeavour. Sports fans will relish the chance to hear from Pat Nevin’s moving memoir, Football and How to Survive It, on 3 May, whereas literary buffs will jump at the chance to hear renowned novelist Louis de Bernières speak about his recent release, Light Over Liskeard, on 5 May.
