Scandi-themed cocktail bar is giving away FREE pints to football fans – as long as they turn up to watch Copenhagen beat United.

Nordic, a newly opened late night haunt in Fitzrovia, is getting behind the Danish capital’s club in Manchester United’s third Champions League tie next week.

The party hotspot will be giving away a free pint to the first fifty fans that head down to the bar in a United rivals shirt.

Thor, General Manager for Nordic, said: “We’re definitely hoping for another bad United game, but it’s all in the spirit of some good banter.

“The next time Arsenal are up against Midtjylland, we’ll be praying for the Gunners to lose instead!”

Featuring Scandinavian drinks, food and themes throughout the bar, the team at Nordic will be focusing on supporting Nordic teams whenever they’re playing.

This includes ties like the Champions League match, but also international clashes – and even ones involving home nations, such as Finland taking on Northern Ireland on 17th November or Norway tackling Scotland a few days later on 19th November.

The crowds will also get more reasons to cheer for an away win after the match kicks off.

Every time a goal goes the wrong way for the Manchester giants, the bar will be giving away 10 free shots from its ‘Wheel of Misfortune’.

Party-goers will be praying for a similar performance to United’s last outing against Turkish league runners-up, Galatasaray.

On a gloomy night for Erik Ten Haag’s men, they came up short at Old Trafford thanks to goals from Mauro Icardi and ex-United winger Wilfred Zaha.

Not just for fans of the Danish champions, the bar also promises offers and support whenever Nordic teams are playing across a range of sports.

Thor, General Manager of Nordic, said: “We’re really proud of our Nordic heritage.

“The vibe of the bar is all about bringing a little taste of home to London. Whether that’s the food we serve or the teams we support, you won’t find us shouting for an English team over the boys from back home.”

Nordic recently reopened its doors after a major refurbishment, offering a new late-night party spot in the heart of Fitzrovia.

The bar, located on Newman Street, has become famous in the local area for its ‘Wheel of Misfortune’, a spinning wheel which gives revellers the chance to win a range of shots.

Nordic is now open, and for the first month, sign up at the link here to get a celebratory spin on the infamous ‘Wheel of Misfortune’ for a free shot.
